The Last Wife, an adaptation of Bluebeard
What is it?
This fairytale-inspired, pseudo historical, projection-heavy horror is an audacious reimagining of the classic folk tale, Bluebeard. After saving her sister from the arranged marriage, Bride struggles to adapt to her new life as a wife. In a mansion full of mysteries she unravels the secret of her mysterious new husband, Bluebeard, while being haunted by ghosts of her own.
What next?
Tierra Izzo (USA) and Thomas Jancis (UK) wrote this script over 3 years and many, many video chats. With a complete draft they are now in the R&D stage, editing and developing the text in preparation for a staged reading. We are currently exploring funding opportunities to get this show on its feet.
Deael
What is it?
Duæl is an original promenade, binaural experience designed for touring. Audience members will pick up a device and a pair of headphones and walk to their own duel, discovering who they are to kill and why. This piece is in the ideation phase.
