Video Audition Structure
Not your average show, not your average audition
Use the prompts below to develop your audition material. Please have fun with this! I know it can be intimidating, but I think monologues are intimidating and often don’t display an actors skill, talents, or abilities all that well. I’m looking to see what creative risks you take, how you can develop material on the fly, how you adapt, the choices you make, if you seem like you’d be fun to work with. There isn’t a right or a wrong answer here, just stronger choices than others.
I know it is precise and yet vague, but my devising background and the fluid, adaptable nature of this original work means a run-of-the-mill audition monologue simply will not do.
I don’t want to say too much more because I don’t want to influence you! But, if you feel stumped, please feel free to reach out with questions. You can message us on Facebook or Instagram or email (see our contact page) and I’m happy to jump on a phone call with you!
